Case Studies
  • Our effective collective bargaining and legal strategy on behalf of management has resulted in decertification, as well as deauthorization, of organized labor unions.
  • For over 25 years, we have served as labor counsel to one of Michigan's largest business associations and have succeeded in thwarting ninety percent of all unionization attempts. We currently provide Employee Manual drafting and administration to many of the association's members.
  • A labor union sought to arbitrate a matter of tremendous economic liability to our employer client. Our effective investigation and preparation enabled the management to file an independent action in federal court to preclude the arbitration. A federal court order was entered finding the dispute nonarbitrable.
  • Representing management, we settled a sexual harassment case seeking a claim of one-half million dollars in damages. After effective investigation and trial preparation, we filed various counter claims against the plaintiff and ultimately settled the case for nuisance value prior to any personal court appearances, saving the client tremendous expense.
