Smith & Johnson is a general practice firm established in Traverse City, Michigan by Louis A. Smith in 1974. Mr. Smith had practiced the previous ten years in Lansing, Michigan. Our firm is one of the largest in the area with a state-wide practice (with offices in Traverse City, Lansing and Glen Arbor). While representing the regional and local interests of many national concerns, our broad base of experience allows us to service the day-to-day legal concerns of the people and businesses of northern Michigan. Smith & Johnson originated in 1965, when Louis A. Smith began practice in Lansing, Michigan. In 1974, Mr. Smith moved the firm to Traverse City, Michigan and began recruiting highly qualified attorneys and support staff. Our firm is now one of the largest and most diversified in northern Michigan. Our computer-assisted research and state-of-the-art office technology help in providing timely, efficient and thorough legal assistance to our clients.
