Allen Anderson is a deceased shareholder who spent nearly his entire career at Smith & Johnson, Attorneys PC.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Allen Anderson graduated with distinction from Albion College in 1975; receiving a degree in the Natural Sciences. Mr. Anderson was a cum laude graduate of The Thomas M. Cooley Law School, attaining his Juris Doctor in 1983. He was a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence.
Mr. Anderson was admitted to the practice of law before the United States Supreme Court, all Michigan State and Federal Courts, the Sixth and Eighth Circuits of the United States Courts of Appeals, the United States Court of International Trade, the United States Court of Military Appeals, and the United States Tax Court. He was a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the State Bar of Minnesota, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the District of Columbia Bar and the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim County Bar Association. He was also a member of the Administrative Law Section, the Labor and Employment Law Section, the American Indian Law Section, Antitrust, Franchising & Trademark Registration Section and the International Law Section of the Michigan State Bar. Mr. Anderson had been selected by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) to serve as a commentator on all aspects of its labor and employment law seminars. He also provided such services for private corporate interests.
