Case Studies

  • We have assisted a number of clients in establishing traditional, business, resort, conversion and site condominiums. Through creative and vigorous applications of the condominium laws, we have solved land division and zoning issues. We initiated and developed comprehensive real estate development programs for many of northern Michigan’s largest resorts.
  • When a large retailer wanted to relocate its operations, we assisted in acquiring the new site, obtaining construction and end financing and structured a like-kind exchange for its prior location.
  • The developers of the largest shopping mall in northwest Michigan sought our firm’s counsel regarding the permits and approvals necessary to build a mall. We successfully assisted the developer in obtaining those permits and approvals through a process which involved numerous public and quasi-public hearings and court proceedings.
